Case 22

I had a very good experience, INS Arlington, VA office a highly recommended place to go.  No too much rush yet.

I went for the Registration under NSEERS program at the Arlington, VA INS office on the 5th of February, 2003.  I reached there at 9:47am in the morning and was out at 1:50pm.  After crossing thru the screening, I was sent to the next room on the same floor.   There a lady took my passport and after writing my name and nationality on a green paper, handed me over my passport, green paper and the form to be filled, and told me to go to the 5th floor to some room (I think it was 507).

When I reached that room, the person doing the interviews asked me for my status and look at my passport and took the green paper and wrote down a number on my form (my turn number).  He gave me back my passport and asked me to fill the form and be ready when my number is called.

There was one foreigner and one Pakistani person doing the interview, (I would not mention his name, though I know it from his badge).  He was very nice and humble to everybody irrespective of nationality.  He called my number at around 1:30pm.  He asked for my passport and credit card and any other ID that I have (like driving license and/or government ID etc).  But I highly recommend you go totally prepared for any eventuality.   He then asked me for the form I filled.  In between questions, he took my oath.  He did not ask for my rent lease, my bills or anything of that sort.  He took my fingerprints and photo twice.  It took 15 minutes for the interview, and he said to me good luck and I said to him, nice talking to you.

Environment was very cool and calm, no arrests or anything of that sort.  When I went there, there were only 10+ people ahead of me.  But people start coming in just before noon.

It is 2 blocks on the left on Fairfax drive from Ballston Metro station inside the bank building.
