An Entire Generation of Pakistani Children Lost in the Rubble of
an Earthquake. More than 79,000 people dead and 2.5 million people left
homeless. Nearly half of those affected younger than 18, and one in
five under age five.
Over 8,000 schools destroyed…
Join UNICEF CANADA and Pakistani documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid
Chinoy on October 23rd for a screening of her latest documentary film “Women
of the Holy Kingdom” at 1:30 p.m. at Innis Town Hall (University of Toronto).
This 55 minutes film documents the emerging women’s movement in Saudi
Arabia. The film goes behind the scenes to examine the lives of average
Saudi women as they lobby for more rights in the world’s most
conservative oil kingdom.
In this time of need, we urge you to donate as much as you can. Many
children have lost their parents, their families and their homes.
Individual contributions to the Pakistan Earthquake Appeal by UNICEF
will be matched by the Canadian government.
This means that your donations will go twice as far!
